Reflection 9:Motion media, Multimedia  Management, and Assistive Media











Three topics were discussed on March 1, 2018. During the session, the first topic was the motion media and information. As part of this living age of digitals, motion media and information claims to be the useful of all types of media and information. Obviously, even if we are too fond to read, movements of visuals are still the most used and have gained more attention than visuals and texts.
Motion media was defined as collection of graphics , footages, videos, series of drawings that gives the appearance of movement and is combined with audio.

During the discussion, I learn two forms of motion media , which are the informal and formal motion media. Informal media are those created by unprofessional people. It was just created for personal use. Just like this website, I am not a professional in this area but but I am using this to post my reflection in every topic that was taught. The best example of this are blogs. Admins have the right to put anything to their blogs or websites. The second was the formal. It was created by professionals or those trained or have deeper knowledge in controlling websites. This is use to inform people about facts or anything. Best example of are news websites online. They write their article in a formal manner.

Another topic was content management system. We already know this because we already do posting and administrating our websites. It is just like creating or merging the use of one site to put outputs to your websites. Content management system helps us to manage the websites we use. And lastly, most crucial topic do me is the assistive media. Nowadays, even PWDs had given privilege and opportunities to interact normally with the use of assistive technology. It is a good thing because it deletes the thought that they some kind of trash in the society. Assistive media is for individuals with cognitive , physical, and communication disabilities. But because of assistive technology, they have the Chance to interact and communicate with other people easily. Discrimination will vanish and confidence of those people will increase.

"This assistive media can help them learn in a way that they can easily processed information. The use of technology that brings freedom and confidence to everyone was the most essential effect of this media. Therefore, the use of assistive media can create unity and discover creativity of PWDs."

Visual media and information was discussed.       There will always be a need to understand the importance of visual media and information. Almost 65% of us are visual learners which means that we learn mostly from the images that we see and the process of information in our brain is faster than those textual contents.   Moreover, the use of media in teaching attracts the attention of students.
