Reflection 7: Text Media and Information 





Text media and information was discussed on Fbruary 12, 2018.







              Since then, text was already introduced to us. Textual content is one of the first thing that was taught to us when we were younger. Aside from visuals or images, text brinfs more detailed information that we use iour daily lies. Books that are used in school is in textual forms. The use of text in our society become a basic knowledge especially in academic purposes. 
            Text is defined as a simple flexible format of presenting information or coneying ideas whether handwritten or typewritten. Text is ery aluable in terms of giing informations, daily converstions, and een in signs and warnings. Text gives information in books, journals, or research papers. Academic matters are more into textual contents.From news to new informations, textual contents are always in it. In our daily conversations, we are aware that  we are now liing in a digital age where conversations are already in the forms of chats.                      Messenger as one of the famous applicaton we use is part of it. Exchanging text through the means of chats. Chats don't usually express feelings but some of us feels more confident in exchanging chats than talking personally. Another is for signs and warnings. In the streets, we can see warnings in text that make us aware of the danger and warned us to not break the rules.  Signage that we seeoutside a salon or store are commonly in extual forms. Designs and forms of text shows creatiity that attracts attention and people.
In the session we learn different types of text and common file format that we usually use but we didn't notice. Just like how a blue colored font appear when a link is in your document, which we known as hypertext. And also the typeface or the style of the font that corresponds to different meaning and formality. These common formats are commonly used but don't usually know what it is.
            Design and element are also important in presenting textual contents. It is use to emphasis a message and to be more creative base on what to use. Designs of text corresponds to different use and formality. Just like what proximity always taught, when things re closely related, bring them close together. So if you found something related to each other, don't separate them.
             In conclusion, the use and alue of text media and information bring knowledge and literacy to society. The uses of these make it  easier to communicate and disseminate information to everyone. Therefore, as part of education and language, text media and information are essential.

Visual media and information was discussed.       There will always be a need to understand the importance of visual media and information. Almost 65% of us are visual learners which means that we learn mostly from the images that we see and the process of information in our brain is faster than those textual contents.   Moreover, the use of media in teaching attracts the attention of students.
